Super Analog Stylus (SAS) Profile Tip
The tip of the is carefully chosen from single-crystal natural diamonds. The laser-cut diamond closely resembles that of the cutting stylus used on a cutting lathe to produce the acetate master disks used in vinyl production. This allows the SAS tip to reach into the deepest recesses of the record groove in order to retrieve details which were previously inaccessible to other stylus profiles. Due to its wide contact area with the groove wall, the SAS can reproduce a more expansive bandwidth of information with higher fidelity.
Cantilever
is one of the most suitable materials for cantilevers. its density is low, Young’s modulus is large, and the speed of sound propagation is approximately 2.6 times faster than that of aluminum. Due to the characteristics above, boron cantilever can more precisely trace the information contained in the record grooves than aluminum cantilever.

Previous experience with the SAS led me to try this one out, and I’m glad I did. The Shure 35 in it’s default guise is a very good and robust cartridge, but the extra refinement of the SAS takes it up to a level that surpasses all expectation. Tracking, tonal balance, low surface noise – the Shure/SAS combination has it all, and can hold it’s head up in some much more expensive company.

Plus – I can now switch the oiginal stylus and balance weight in for older monos, 45’s etc. and then remove the weight and sub in the SAS for modern records, getting the best of both worlds.

    Highly recommended.

I use this SAS stylus in a wired for mono Shure SC35C cartridge for my mono albums and 45’s. Along with my Cambridge Audio 640p phono pre-amp, I think I have an unbeatable sound for my restoration business. I know I can spend thousands for cartridges, their styluses and more thousands for phono stages, but what for? The SAS type tip is genius!
