Super Analog Stylus (SAS) Profile Tip
The tip of the is carefully chosen from single-crystal natural diamonds. The laser-cut diamond closely resembles that of the cutting stylus used on a cutting lathe to produce the acetate master disks used in vinyl production. This allows the SAS tip to reach into the deepest recesses of the record groove in order to retrieve details which were previously inaccessible to other stylus profiles. Due to its wide contact area with the groove wall, the SAS can reproduce a more expansive bandwidth of information with higher fidelity.
Cantilever
is one of the most suitable materials for cantilevers. its density is low, Young’s modulus is large, and the speed of sound propagation is approximately 2.6 times faster than that of aluminum. Due to the characteristics above, boron cantilever can more precisely trace the information contained in the record grooves than aluminum cantilever.

I had heard good words about Jico styluses, but after trying this on the EPC-205C mkIII and mkIV carts of mine… I am in love! They perform in an unbelievable way… fantastic? magic? I think there are not words for description, only music….BRAVO!

I was amazed, but first scared.
I installed it in my PU on my SL1410 mk2
lowered the arm to the record – no sound
my first thought was; oh my god i dont works but suddenly I heard the most clear and perfect sound ever, The stylus tracked so perfectly well that no background noice was to be heard
    Absolutely fantastic

Delivery was quick, only about two weeks. I used this in a Technics EPC-205C-IIL (L=low output version, should also work for H high output). The original stylus had a drooping high end response and an elliptical tip. With the Jico SAS I measured a more extended high end with a few small, well damped resonance bumps (2db or less). The SAS definitely sounds more detailed than the more laid back original, with excellent sound. The only issue is that the diamond on my SAS is rotated a few degrees off the ideal line, which I remedied by rotating the cartridge on the headshell. Jico would probably take this back for an exchange but it sounds fine to me and I didn’t think it was worth it to send it back. Thank you Jico for offering this stylus!
