Super Analog Stylus (SAS) Profile Tip
The tip of the Super Analog Stylus is carefully chosen from single-crystal natural diamonds. The laser-cut diamond closely resembles that of the cutting stylus used on a cutting lathe to produce the acetate master disks used in vinyl production. This allows the SAS tip to reach into the deepest recesses of the record groove in order to retrieve details which were previously inaccessible to other stylus profiles. Due to its wide contact area with the groove wall, the SAS can reproduce a more expansive bandwidth of information with higher fidelity.
The reproducibility of the sound engraved on analog records is further enhanced by adopting sapphire for cantilevers since sapphire has high rigidity. Compared to aluminum cantilevers, every single sound will be defined more clearly, allowing the users to enjoy crystal-clear sound.

Such excellent service from Jico to deliver my order to the UK. Fitting the EPS-205 EX SAS/S to my EPC-205C MK3 is a route to bliss. Give it time to settle in and the sound quality is superb, detailed with strong soundstage. I was previously listening with an original 205ED stylus and the SAS/S is a significant improvement.
I haven’t heard an SAS/B and wonder if this might reduce surface noise ompared.to the SAS/S but that will have to come later.
After my experience, I can fully recommend dealing direct with Jico without hesitation.
I changed my stylus from an EPS-205EX SAS/B to an EPS-205EX SAS/S after some years. The EPS-205EX SAS/B was a great replacement for my Technics EPC-205C MK3, too. The EPS-205EX SAS/S performs much better. I can hear much more details and the bass is tighter. The soundstage is better, too. Don’t forget, that this cartridge is one of the best which was produced. So spent your money for the best replacement stylus and not thousends of dollars for a new cartridge to get the sound quality of your old Technics cartridge.
Best regards from Germany
I love the Jico NEO SAS replacement stlyus…. I think it makes this cartridge better than original – and indeed better than new high end MM such as 2M Black.
I also find that the detail and soundstage I get are better than several MC carts I have tried (even up to thousands of dollars).
I have compared the Original Technics stylus, the SAS Boron and the NEO SAS/S for my EPC-205mk3 and can tell you that in my set-up (Technics SP10mk2 with EPA100 arm) both SAS sound bigger and more detailed than the original and track brilliantly.
I have particularly enjoyed the NEO SAS/S for it’s more delicate and detailed treble yet also tighter punchier bass than the Boron SAS.
I have found that I do get the best results if I track at the 1.5g weight with the SAS.
I am so happy that you make the NEO SAS/S because it makes the 205Cmk3 cartridge better than original to my ear.
