Super Analog Stylus (SAS) Profile Tip
The tip of the is carefully chosen from single-crystal natural diamonds. The laser-cut diamond closely resembles that of the cutting stylus used on a cutting lathe to produce the acetate master disks used in vinyl production. This allows the SAS tip to reach into the deepest recesses of the record groove in order to retrieve details which were previously inaccessible to other stylus profiles. Due to its wide contact area with the groove wall, the SAS can reproduce a more expansive bandwidth of information with higher fidelity.
Cantilever
is one of the most suitable materials for cantilevers. its density is low, Young’s modulus is large, and the speed of sound propagation is approximately 2.6 times faster than that of aluminum. Due to the characteristics above, boron cantilever can more precisely trace the information contained in the record grooves than aluminum cantilever.

Hi. I received the Shure V15 II on a turntable from a friend. As I had no experience with this cartridge and it was at no cost to me, I decided to buy the JICO upgrade for it. So glad I did. From my hearing it competes with the Goldring 1042that I have. Maybe a bit below my Nagaoka MP500 and also my Audio Technica AT150 MLX. But for a $200 investment, hands down the best value for dollar I’ve made.

This is the best purchase I have made for this cartridge. This stylus brings out all the sounds across the range of instruments. Excellent with rock and classical music. Will be back to buy another in the future

This SAS stylus had a very different construction from the original SHURE V15 Type II stylus. Especially with the cantilever extremely slim, you have a sense that you are getting something different.

The moment you start playing vinyl with this stylus, you instantly know that this is a tough one to beat. The bass improves significantly, the highs are less squeaky and sharp and a better separation of instruments overall.

Very satisfied and would highly recommend SHURE V15 Type II owners to try.
