Super Analog Stylus (SAS) Profile Tip
The tip of the is carefully chosen from single-crystal natural diamonds. The laser-cut diamond closely resembles that of the cutting stylus used on a cutting lathe to produce the acetate master disks used in vinyl production. This allows the SAS tip to reach into the deepest recesses of the record groove in order to retrieve details which were previously inaccessible to other stylus profiles. Due to its wide contact area with the groove wall, the SAS can reproduce a more expansive bandwidth of information with higher fidelity.
Cantilever
is one of the most suitable materials for cantilevers. its density is low, Young’s modulus is large, and the speed of sound propagation is approximately 2.6 times faster than that of aluminum. Due to the characteristics above, boron cantilever can more precisely trace the information contained in the record grooves than aluminum cantilever.
There is NO interchangeability between VN5MR and VN5xMR. Please confirm your cartridge / stylus number and select suitable stylus.

Excellent sound quality!!!
The sound is quite similar to the quality which can be taken by the original stylus from Shure (I have one NOS).
The sound is more clear and detailed if the proper tracking force is setted up.
The quality is MUCH more sensitive to the tracking force! The difference of 0.2 gr gives COMPLETELY different sound. From very light and accurate with light weight (1gr) up to not acceptable on a 1.2 gr…

I bought a VN5MR (SAS) from JICO. The product ia perfect. I dare to say that it is better quality than the original from Shure.

I’ve just installed the new replacement stylus for my Shure V15V-MR and spent the last few hours listening to records. I’m impressed! My records have never sounded better. The detail is stunning. I highly recommend this stylus. Excellent product, JICO! Long may you prosper.
